What happened with John Galliano?

According to the latest news John Galliano has been suspended as Dior creative director.

Will this be definitive? I hope this is not his final farewell to a brilliant career at Dior since 1996.

Según las últimas noticias, Dior ha suspendido a John Galiano como director creativo.

Será esto definitivo? Espero que este no sea el adiós total de una brillante carrera en Dior desde el año 1996.

Vichy pattern

As you could see at the Dolce and Gabanna spring/summer 2011 prêt à porter collection, there is another pattern for this season besides the flowery one.

In my opinion vichy pattern is country, infantile or else pin-up.

I think it's OK for accessories, but that's it!

Como pudiste ver en la colección primavera/verano 2011 prêt à porter de Dolce and Gabanna, hay más estampados además del de flores.

A mí me parece que el estampado vichy (pequeños cuadritos de colores combinados con blanco) parece de pic-nic, infantil o bien pin-up.

Creo que está bien para los accesorios, pero ya está.

Animal prints: snake

One of the trends for the upcoming season is the python/snake print.

You can see it on the Lanvin, Angel Schlesser, Burberry Prorsum, Miu Miu and Yves Saint Laurent, Roberto Cavalli (of course) colecctions. There are also some others designers that include this print on their collections.

In our regular "low cost" stores we can find some clothing and accessories with these prints.

In order to make it look cool choose individual pieces, and mix them with plain clothes.

If you hesitate to wear this trend, an accessory such as a headband, a bracelets, a belt, or even a bag will give your outfit a stylish touch.

This next season, like in the last few years, the neon or fluorescent colors are going to be part of the trends.

We find that several brands, like Jil Sander, Jimmy Choo, Burberry Prorsum, Sonia Rykiel and some others, have include a few pieces of these colors on their collections.

You will find these colors everywhere, "low cost" brands as H&M and Zara have detected this trend so their stores are filled with this type of clothing.

La temporada que viene, como en los últimos años, los colores flúo o fosforescentes van a formar parte de las tendencias.

Algunas marcas, como Jil Sander, Jimmy Choo, Burberry Prorsum, Sonia Rykiel y otras tantas, han incluido algunas prendas de estos colores en sus colecciones.

Encontrarás estos colores por todas partes, marcas asequibles como H&M y Zara han detectado esta tendencia, así que no sufras, sus tiendas ya están llenas de este tipo de prendas.

Nailpolish

I can't live without my nails painted!!! I feel like I'm naked, like something's missing.

I have a little collection of nailpolishes, the problem is that I like them all, and sometimes is hard for me to decide on which one I want to wear.

No puedo vivir sin tener las uñas pintadas!!! Me siento desnuda, como si me faltara algo.

Tengo una pequeña colección de pintauñas, el problema es que me gustan todos, y a veces me resulta difícil decidir de qué color pintármelas.

BLACK

The black Dior is a gift from my friend Gabe, I love it, it has some tiny glitter that makes it less gothic. The one on the right is a cheap one.

El negro de Dior es un regalo de mi amiga Gabe, me encanta, tiene una purpurina pequeña que hace que no sea tan gótico. El de la derecha es uno de baratito.

GREEN

The one from Zara I use it just to draw some details on the nails, it looks better on the picture than on the nails. The one on the middle is from H&M, it came in a pack with 3 more colors. The one on the right I haven't used it yet, it's from Thailand.

El de Zara sólo lo utilizo para dibujar detalles, el color es más bonito en el bote que en las uñas. El del medio es de H&M, venía en un "pack" con 3 colores más. El de la derecha aún no lo he usado, es de Tailandia.

BLUE

New brands: Medwinds

For those who love hand made shoes, manufactured with top quality materials with a casual but timeless touch, a new brand is born: Medwinds (Mediterranean winds).

The company belongs to the Fluxà family (from Mallorca), also owners of shoe and leather goods brands as Lottusse and Camper.

This brand is not just different to the others two because of their products, which include a clothing and an accessory line, but also is the only one of them that doesn't have stores, they only sell online.

Para aquellos que adoran los zapatos hechos a mano, con materiales de primera calidad y con aires casual-clásicos pero atemporales, ha nacido una nueva marca: Medwinds (Mediterranean winds).

La empresa pertenece a la familia Fluxà (de Mallorca), también dueños de marcas de zapatos y artículos de piel como Lottusse y Camper.

Esta marca no sólo se diferencia de las otras dos por sus productos, que incluyen una línea de ropa y otra de complementos, sino que además es la única que no consta de tiendas físicas, sólo vende online.
